Reagan Inherited Worse Economy Than Obama

Barack Obama is spouting the published 3.8% loss that the U.S. economy experienced in the fourth quarter of 2008 and is saying that this loss represents ”the worst contraction in close to three decades”. The only problem with that statement is that it is a lie. The truth is that in the first quarter of 1982, near the end of the Carter “darkness”, the economy took a 6.8% nosedive. We all know the economy was revived by Ronald Reagan after he took office by virtue of his tax cutting supply side economic principles. As irony would have it or maybe it’s because he’s just not a very good student of history (or doesn’t care to be because it flies in the face of his liberal ideology), President Obama is portraying our economy as worse than it actually is so he can boost his prospects for his massive spending “anti-stimulus” bill which, not surprisingly, has NO middle class tax cuts as he had promised during his campaign. It does, however, have alot of perks for the special interests that got him elected ($5 billion to ACORN, etc.), plenty of social programs to get money in the hands of the non-productive at the expense of the producers and job creators (ie. the beginnings of his redistribution of wealth model), and lots of pork spending to maintain the U.S. citizens as slaves for decades to the new bureaucracy which would be created.

This MUST STOP before it starts… and it is up to US. The bill has now passed the House with NO REPUBLICANS backing it. Contact your U.S. Senators and let them know that their future as a Senator following the next election hangs in the balance of them voting “NO” to this spending bill, which is being irresponsibly portrayed as a stimulus by Obama and his liberal accomplices in Congress and the media.
